A loan helped to buy rice, beans, sugar, oil, detergents, porridge, and other personal hygiene products for her store.

Brecha De Esperanza Group's story

BRECHA DE ESPERANZA is one of the founding associations of Pro Mujer in Chinandega, Nicaragua, composed of 9 organized and conscientious merchants.
Mrs. Luz Marina (She has her hands crossed in the middle, wears a gray skirt and glasses) is 76 years old, and loves to work. Her husband is 81 years old and they had 4 children, who are all are independent.
Progress is on her mind. Thanks to the loans, she has her shop and has fixed her house. She is proud of herself.
A new loan will be invested in the grocery store that has been the main family income for 30 years. She will buy rice, beans, sugar, oil, detergents, porridge, and other personal hygiene products. "I feel free, independent and fulfilled," Luz tells us.
