Ushindi Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up on second-hand shoes which will build on her initial capital.

Ushindi Group's story

Florida is a client of the Hekima MFI and the leader of the village group "Ushindi". She is married, 52 years old and mother of 10 children who are all in school; her partner is unemployed.

She is a seller of second-hand shoes, having set up this business 15 years ago with start-up funds from her husband. Later she involved the Hekima programme to support her business, during which she gradually evolved. With this new loan, she will source second-hand shoes, which will strengthen her initial capital. The challenge in her work is the lack of customers.

She would like to build a house for her family. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for supporting non-bankable business owners in this context of the global crisis related to COVID-19. The photo is only of the group leader because of COVID-19 in respect of social distancing measures.
