Jonas's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase more bread baking machines and also increase the inventory of wheat flour.

Jonas's story

Jonas is a hardworking father and entrepreneur living in Gicumbi near one of Rwanda's refugee camps.

He started with a small cafe selling donuts and milk. Jonas's business has tremendously grown where he bought an oven and started making bread. He is one of the big distributors of bread in the district of Gicumbi. Jonas is also a wholesaler of wheat flour and beverages.

Jonas's business has employed 10 permanent and casual staff with 60% being women and 40% being refugees. He is also known to be one of the people who stepped up to provide water( free of charge) to refugees living in the Gihembe refugee camp when they experienced water shortage.

Jonas has also secured a contract with an organization to offer baking lessons to Gihembe refugees. He would like to take a loan to purchase more bread baking machines and also increase the inventory of wheat flour to be able to satisfy the growing demand.

His hopes and dreams are to become the most reliable distributor of bread and wheat flour in the region.
