Nicholus' Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase hybrid seeds and fertilizer to improve harvests of maize.

Nicholus' Group's story

Pictured above is Nicholus, often described as an extremely reliable person. He is 40 years old and has six children. As a group leader, he is representing his group of 16 farmers in Mumias District, Kenya.

Nicholus is returning this season to work with One Acre Fund again as this means that he is able to get the best quality fertilizer and hybrid seeds, which is why he decided to join in the first place. Nicholus says that he is happy to have made that decision because, since he first joined in 2016, he has been able to consistently feed his family, which has improved his day-to-day life significantly. Nicholus will use the profits from this season to send his children to school.

The group will use this loan to purchase seeds and fertilizer to plant a total of 8.25 acres.
