Twekambe Kiziranfumbi Group's story

Stephen lives in Hoima, Uganda. He ventures into the transportation of people from one place to another using a motorcycle. He has been in this business for more than five years and he has been able to get some money to look after his family including paying school fees for his children. He also engages in growing a variety of crops, like beans, cassava, maize, and many others.

He is a very active member of Twekambe Kiziranfumbi, where members normally guarantee one another to access financial support from financial institutions. His main challenge is inadequate capital and impassable roads, which affect him, especially during the rainy seasons.

Stephen is optimistic about expanding his business more, and he is requesting a loan to buy land and expand his crops plantation.

Note: the group photo shows four members; the fifth member had a sick child in the hospital.
