Sokheng's story

Sokheng, age 24, lives with her family in the area of Kaoh Thum district, Kandal province. She was born in a poor family, and her parents cannot provide good education to her because of insufficient income. She has the occupation of a paid laborer in her village. She can earn approximately of $5 USD per day, which has to cover the expense of her family's needs and savings for future needs.

Because of the shortage of her finances, she has applied for a loan in the amount of $2,000 USD to pay for fence construction around her house. With this loan support, she will have money to purchase construction supplies such as bricks and cements and pay for laborers. This new fence is very important for her family members to protect them and help them live with comfortable living standards and a good environment.
