Jackline's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a variety of cereals from local farmers to sell to her customers and at the local market.

Jackline's story

Jackline, a 30-year-old mother of 2 school going children, is living in Kenyenya, a town surrounded by prime agricultural lands favoring large-scale grain, dairy, and crop farming. She has been farming for many years, earning income by selling milk and crops and using it to buy her family's basic needs. Her clients enjoy the quality of milk and crops that she sells, but she is uncomfortable with the little she earns after having invested so much time and effort.

Jackline has decided to take out a loan to buy a variety of cereals from local farmers to sell to her customers and at the local market. She will earn a commission which she will use to repay the loan and elevate her standard of living. This loan is a new opportunity for her. Her irregular income and lack of collateral security limits her access to loans from commercial banks.

Thanks to Juhudi Kilimo and Kiva, the lives of Jackline and her family will be changed.
