but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase corn, vegetables, seasoning, cooking oil, fruit, beverages etc. This will improve the production of pupusas (flatbread) and offer customers a wider variety of beverages.

Marta Liliam's story

Marta lives in her own home with her two children, who are 20 and 22 years old. Both children are studying. Marta is single and supports two financial dependants. She has no relatives abroad.

Marta's business that consists of making and selling pupusas (flatbread). One of her sons helps with the business; they work from Tuesday to Sunday. They start the work day very early, and the first thing they do is prepare the corn to make the dough for the pupusas (flatbread). Marta sells to her customers from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm. Marta learned the trade with the help of her family and has opened her own business 6 months ago.

She has decided to apply for a loan to bolster her business inventory. With the loan, she will be able to buy corn, vegetables, dressing, cooking oil, fruit, beverages etc. This will improve the production of the pupusas (flatbread) and enable her to offer her customers a greater variety of beverages. She is hopeful that the investment will enable her to improve the stability of her business and generate more income.

Her dream is to have a more profitable business and to support her children in completing their academic studies and becoming professionals.
