Santos's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a solar energy lighting system to improve his living conditions.

Santos's story

In the community of Yoro Honduras, where 27 year old Santos lives there is no access to electricity. This has not stopped him from carrying out his work in growing basic grains. He has worked in this business since he was very young besides being an elementary school teacher.

However although Santos' activities have not been affected he and his family have suffered from not having access to the better quality of living that electrical energy offers. They have been forced to buy kerosene lamps, batteries for lights and travel long distances to charge cellphones for a long time. And more over they have been exposed to the damage to their health that kerosene and candles cause.

So Santos is requesting a loan from Soluz Honduras as he needs to acquire a solar energy system to continue to get up very early to work and have lighting that would allow him to spend time at night to plan his teaching work. Santos is certain that a solar energy system will make him a more productive worker and improve his family's quality of living.
