Vitali's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to procure sheep to expand the farm capacities.

Vitali's story

Vitali is a 33-year-old farmer from the village of Troitcoe in the Cimislia region of Moldova. He is married and has three minor daughters who are students. Vitalie and his family live in the house inherited from his parents. His wife is a housewife and takes care of the family.

Vitali's family raises animals. He has built a barn on the land next to the house. He currently has 2 cattle, 10 sheep and 4 sows. He produces sheep's cheese and sells small piglets and cattle.

In addition Vitali processes 0.5 ha of land on which he has sown grasses for hay. He buys animal grain because he does not have enough land to produce all the feed he needs by himself.

In parallel with this activity, in his free time he provides services for reforestation, planting trees, hoeing and other works in forestry. This is an additional source of family income.

Now, Vitali wants to increase the number of sheep, and he is requesting a loan from Kiva. He wants to buy another 20 sheep. Using the loan, he will increase the number of sheep, thus ensuring the family with source of food and income.
