Fatu's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more ingredients that will be used to make kala and peanuts to sell.

Fatu's story

Meet 48- year-old Fatu, from Liberia. She has five children, three of whom are still schooling.

Fatu deals in a business selling kala (puffpuff doughnuts) and peanuts, a business she has managed for 11 years, and she uses car or bike to transport supplies at her business site. She learned how to sell by herself and started the business with her own earnings.

To maintain her business, Fatu applied for a loan through BRAC Liberia, Kiva's field partner, to buy more ingredients that will be used to make kala and peanuts to sell to her good clients. She likes her business because it helps to support her family. In the future, she would like to build her house. She wishes to say thanks to BRAC and Kiva.
