Tuongozane Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase corn and beans, which will strengthen her initial capital.

Tuongozane Group's story

Rebecca is a client with the MFI, Hekima, and runs the village group, "Tuongozane." She is married, 31 years old, and a mother of 4 children, 3 of them are in school and 1 is a baby. Her partner is a driver.

She sells food. She started this business 7 years ago with start-up funds from her husband. Later, she joined the Hekima program to support her business, which has grown gradually.

With this new loan, she will purchase corn and beans, which will strengthen her initial capital. The challenge her business faces is related to a lack of customers and the wrong choice of goods.

She would like her children to continue to go to school, feed her family, and build.

Lastly, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support given to business owners without access to traditional banking facilities in the context of the global crisis linked to Covid-19.
