Francisca Isabel's story
Francisca started in the business by selling coffee, sugar, bread, salt and detergents with the support of her husband. Her business was a bit far from the major population, since she lived in a sparsely populated place. For this reason, she decided to sell her cows to acquire a property situated in an area that was well traveled. Doing so allowed her to set up her grocery store and thanks to her good administration it has grown. However, she wants to continue growing her business which is why she is requesting a kiva loan with the support of MiCrèdito to buy 5 quintals of rice, 4 quintals of sugar, 3 buckets of oil, 10 boxes of soap, 40 boxes of soft drinks, detergents and merchandise of personal use. In the next few years, she wants to transform her grocery store into a food distributor.
