Florence's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farming inputs which she plans to use in improving her sugarcane farming business, thus making more income to support her family.

Florence's story

Florence is a 51-year-old mother of two children who pursues her dreams with much passion and determination. She is a mixed dairy and crop farmer who has been farming for the past eight years. Through farming, she has made her life meaningful. Like any other African woman, Florence wants to give her family a solid reputation.

In Kenya, agriculture is one of the most competitive industries, especially due to the high costs of operations necessary to improve farming. Such costs include the cost of land acquisition and inputs, which have always skyrocketed.

Florence is seeking this loan to buy farming inputs which she plans to use in improving her sugarcane farming business, thus making more income to support her family. Florence is hopeful that Kiva lenders will be inspired to support her with a loan at this time when the world is in the middle of a pandemic.
