Beatrice's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy cereal grains (beans and maize) to sell in her village market and, as a mom, use the profits to support her family.

Beatrice's story

Perseverance has transformed Beatrice (pictured above) into a mentally strong woman. She is a 24-year-old mother of three school-going children who lives in Sotik, a town that hosts elite Kenyan athletes.

She is a mixed farmer who has been farming for the past many years. In addition to farming, Beatrice obtains income from trading cereals.

Unlike banks and other local moneylenders who operate mainly in urban centers, Juhudi Kilimo (a Kiva field partner) has extended its operations to the most remote areas of Kenya, thus creating opportunities for different people to access loans.

Beatrice is seeking a loan to buy cereals that she plans to resell to make more profit to support her family during this health crisis.

A loan to her will be vital to achieve food security in her home during this period of global economic recession.
