Mujeres La Virginia Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy various jewels to sell.

Mujeres La Virginia Group's story

The group is made up of 18 women who are entrepreneurial and fighting for a better quality of life. This is a new committee made up of women who are the heads of their families and want a better future. They are also part of a poverty elimination program.

Fatima is one woman in this group. She makes a living selling jewels and makes her sales on foot throughout her region. She has a loyal clientele that always give her orders. She says that her work helps her sustain her family's home.

Fatima says that her goal is to be able to grow and continue with her work. She is asking for this loan to purchase various jewels to sell and therefore be able to continue her work.

Note: Only one person appears in this photo, but it is a group loan. A group photo wasn't possible due to COVID-19.
