A loan helped to pay for construction to renovate his old house.

Dort's story

Dort, aged 50, lives with his family in the area of Angkor Borei district, Takeo province. At home, Dort and his spouse have been operating a small convenience shop, offering many types of products including grocery items, snack foods, sweets, powders, canned food, noodles, and miscellaneous household things to local people in their community.

They make a suitable income of 8.00 USD per day, from which they can cover their daily costs. They take good responsibility in their tasks such as asking customers questions, recommending the best product based on their desires and needs, and preparing products to be displayed on the sales floor. They also have sales skills, customer service, money handling, negotiation, memorization, communication skills and physical fitness.

Because of the shortage of finances, Dort has applied for a loan in the amount of USD $2,000 to pay for construction to renovate his old house. With this loan support, he will have money to purchase construction supplies, such as bricks, zinc and cement, and pay for laborers.

This renovation is very important for Dort's family members to protect themselves and live with a comfortable living standard and in a good environment. It also can protect his family members from the crisis of climate change, such as rain.

Dort sends thanks to all lenders who have contributed their funds to help a poor fellow like him.
