Betty's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more cocoa to sell.

Betty's story

Betty is aged 38 years, married and has six children. She lives in Bundibugyo, Uganda.

She has been involved in the cocoa business for over 15 years now to raise income for the family and school fees for the children. She is predominantly a cocoa farmer and sells to agents and cocoa companies. She is very committed to cocoa growing as the basic source of family income. Her main challenge is the limited manpower available to harvest and sun-dry the cocoa.

She has asked for a second loan to buy more cocoa for resale. She used the first loan to do similar business and was able to earn some profits.
