A loan helped to load more money on his phone to enable electronic money transfers to his customers.

Ramathan's story

Ramathan is still a single father of two children; he lives in Bwera, Uganda. He used his previous loan to buy more electronic items like phones, wires, and phone accessories to sell.

He still owns an electronics shop selling items like radios, CDs, wires, and extension cables and also has a video library. Inside his shop he also has a mobile money point. He started this business some years back using proceeds from his crop farming business. He has the responsibility of paying school fees for his three siblings and also cares for himself and his children.

He dreams of expanding his business into a bigger wholesale shop for electronics and soft drinks, since he sells to those coming to buy music and make mobile money transactions. He says the challenges with his business are inadequate working capital to stock electronics and the inability to meet the mobile money demand.

Ramathan is requesting a loan to load more money on his phone to enable electronic money transfers to his customers.
