Viviana Patricia's story

Viviana Patricia lives in Portoviejo, a city that was affected by the 16 April 2016 earthquake and now by the Covid-19 pandemic. The city is rich in the production of vegetables, legumes, and tropical fruit for domestic consumption.

Viviana Patricia used to sell catalogue products. She had to change businesses because of the pandemic. Now she sells vegetables in the city market for four or five hours every day.

She said that social distancing because of fear of contagion left her without work in the beginning, but currently she's working with biosafety protocols.

This loan is to buy carrots, potatoes, onions, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, etc.

Her dream is for her family to be very healthy and her business to keep on growing.
