António's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase tunnels and tropicalized greenhouses to help him to produce a huge amount of veggies to supply to the market.

António's story

António is a 59-year-old Mozambican man. He is married and lives in Manica with his family.

He is a hardworking and dedicated man who dreams of one day opening a seed processing factory. He is the father of five children that he manages to provide with food and education.

He enjoys searching and learning about new production techniques. António plans to increase his production area, provide more job opportunities for other farmers, and open other points of sale throughout his community and in the province of Manica.

Previously, he applied for a first Kiva loan to acquire a new irrigation system, which helped him to increase his production area. Considering the current demand for veggies and also the need of producing in a protected environment, Antonio needs to invest in high-quality equipment to fulfill his goal.

This is why he is requesting his second Kiva loan to purchase tunnels and tropicalized greenhouses to help him to produce a huge amount of veggies to supply to the market. Besides veggies production, António already runs a small shop of agricultural inputs where he helps young people with employment and also local farmers with certified seeds.
