Mkono Mkononi Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up on used shoes, which will increase her starting capital.

Mkono Mkononi Group's story

Mrs. Clemence is a Hekima IMF client who presides over the groupe villageois "MKONO MKONONI." She is a 46-year-old married mother of ten children, five of whom attend school, three of whom are independent, and two of whom are still too young. Her partner is a motorcyclist.

She sells used shoes, a business she started 5 years ago with funds from her husband. Later, she incorporated the Hekima program to support her business, which over time, she progressively grew. With this new loan, she is going to stock up on used shoes, which will grow her starting capital. The challenge with her business is linked to nuisances from the police.

She would like for her children to continue their education and to be fed. In the end, she wishes to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they bring to unprofitable business owners in this context of a global crisis linked to COVID-19. The photo is only of the group leader because of COVID-19 out of respect of social distancing measures.
