A loan helped to build a safe latrine at home.

Chev's story

Chev, 49, married with three children, one in school, lives with his family in Dang Tong district, Kampot province. Being a responsible father, he works hard every day to generate income so he can cover his daily costs and send his child to school. He works as a construction worker in his community with his team, providing services to customers. The job of a laborer varies, changing from day to day. He works at construction sites, performing tasks such as cleaning, removing debris, loading and unloading materials, assembling and disassembling temporary structures. He performs a variety of duties involving tools.

He can't provide a safe, sanitary latrine for his family and is requesting a loan to build one. He hopes to increase the value of his home and improve sanitation, ensuring healthy living conditions to safeguard the health of his family and protect the environment.

He'll be able to purchase construction supplies, such as bricks and cement, to build a safe latrine and pay labor costs. He believes through his hard work and perseverance, he'll be able to attain a better standard of living one day.
