A loan helped to build a safe latrine at home.

Sinuon's story

Sinuon, 31, married with two children in school, lives with her family in Prey Kabbas district, Takeo province. She earns a living tailoring ─ constructing, altering, repairing or modifying garments for customers based on their specifications, needs and preferences. She takes customers' measurements, assists in fabric selection and arranges fittings to determine whether additional adjustments are needed.

Her house doesn't have a safe, sanitary latrine for her family, so she's requesting a loan to build one. In this way Sinuon hopes to increase the value of her home and improve sanitation, ensuring healthy living conditions to safeguard the health of her family and protect the environment.

With this loan, she'll purchase construction supplies, such as bricks and cement, to build a safe latrine and pay labor costs. Sinuon believes through her hard work and perseverance, she'll be able to attain a better standard of living one day.
