Mujeres Unidas Para El Progreso Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy fresh fruit to sell.

Mujeres Unidas Para El Progreso Group's story

This committee is called Mujeres Unidas al Progreso [Women United to Progress], because that is what they are. It is a group that has been working together for 48 cycles now. They help each other and are seeking a way to give their families a better quality of life. They are also in the poverty elimination program.

One of them is Mirtha, who sells fruit. She says that it has gone very well for her and that her work allows her to get her family ahead so that they won't experience need. She has set being able to grow as a goal, not only financially, but also as people, and for them not to go through deprivation like she did.

She is asking for this loan to buy fresh fruit to sell, so that she can continue with her work and satisfy her customers.

Note: Only one person appears in the photo, but this is a group loan. A group loan wasn't possible because they were avoiding the gathering of people due to COVID-19.
