Williams Alexander's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy 20 rolls of tule (Schoenoplectus acutus) which will give him raw material at hand to increase his production of mats.

Williams Alexander's story

Williams lives with his wife and his son. He has no family that live abroad. Williams explains that thanks to his parents who taught him the trade of making mats, today he has a source of economic income that allows him to get ahead with his family. Four years ago, with his experience Williams managed to open his own business. It consists of producing and selling mats. His wife is also involved in the business. They work three days a week. He comments that the greatest difficulty that he has faced recently, is being obliged to close his business for a number of months. This was because El Salvador had established all kinds of restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

He is requesting a loan so he will have money to expand his business. The borrowed funds will be used to buy 20 rolls of tule (Schoenoplectus acutus) which will give him raw material at hand to increase his production of mats. With the investment Williams hopes to obtain greater earnings from his sales.

He aspires to improve his economic conditions and share a more comfortable living style with his family.
