Nancy Del Carmen's story

Nancy del Carmen, 50, is a micro-entrepreneur, a resident of the city of Cartagena, where she lives with her spouse.

She has had a business for five years, a bakery where she sells desserts, cakes, and other products. She had her business idea because she was always curious about everything having to do with pastry, and she took a class from an organization to learn everything she needed for the business to be successful.

This work has enabled her to improve her quality of life and her family's. She has potential customers who order wholesale from her for events like birthdays, degrees, weddings, and others.

During the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, though, her work level declined and her income went down drastically because of biosafety concerns.

This is why she's requesting her first Kiva loan from Fundación Santo Domingo. Her goal is to invest in a purchase of flour, sweeteners, sugar, and decorations.

Help her with her business loan.
