Guisell Paola's story

Guise Paola is a 21 year old small business owner. She lives in the city of Barranquilla, where she lives with her family. For 3 years, she has worked selling meat products.

Her business idea came about because of the need to generate additional income for her household, because the economic situation was not good. She decided to take her savings and invest in selling cold cuts to her closest neighbors, and as time passed her customer base grew and she was able to make bigger investments in her merchandise inventory.

She currently has potential clients that have contributed to the growth of her business, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic happening at a global level, the level of her work reduced for health safety reasons and her income decreased drastically.

For this reason she joined the program Atlantic Response to ask for her first Kiva loan, together with the Santo Domingo Foundation, with the goal of investing in buying cold cuts, sausages, cured meats and chorizo, among other things. Please help her with this loan for her business.
