Na Tau 47 Group's story

Thirty-nine-year-old Thich is a Thai ethnic woman and has two children. Thich lives with her husband and children in a Thai traditional stilt house in a poor and remote area of Vietnam.

Her children are studying in high school, Thich and her husband have to work very hard and engage in many activities, such as growing rice, and raising a cow to cover their children's education as well as life expenses.

Since she became a partner of the Anh Chi Em program, Thich has been very interested in training sessions and counseling through which she can get more knowledge and access new farming techniques. This is the ninth time she has taken out a loan from the Anh Chi Em program. This time Thich plans to buy a cow. She hopes that the cow will grow up fast and in good health, so that she can sell calves. In the picture, she is the woman on the right.
