Roselyne's story

Roselyne is 49 years old. She was born with a strong mind and that is why she does not allow fear to get in her path of success. She is the mother of 4 school-going children living in Eldoret, a town that was significantly stuck by the 2007–2008 violence in Kenya. Roselyne has farmed for the past many years, enabling her to meet her family’s enormous demands.

She is seeking this loan to buy farm inputs, which she plans to use to improve her production and make more income to support her family. Juhudi Kilimo’s partnership with Kiva is an effective tool for reducing poverty in Kenya and especially among women, who the central actors in rural areas.

Roselyne is hopeful that Kiva lenders will respond positively to her loan request.
