Juliana's story

Juliana pushes herself beyond her limits. She is 43 years old and has farmed for many years. She lives in Kapsowar, a remote area located on a gentle plain before the ascent into the central highlands of Kenya.

The Covid-19 pandemic has posed a significant threat to the economy of Kenya, causing a lot of uncertainties and disrupting food supply chains. Juhudi Kilimo, in partnership with Kiva, are on the forefront, combating the pandemic through supporting smallholder farmers and micro-entrepreneurs during this difficult period.

Juliana is seeking a loan to buy quality farming inputs for her farm to improve production, increase profits, and support her family during the hard economic period.

Supporting Juliana with a loan will be key in helping her to face the financial crisis brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic.
