Esperanza Monserrate and her family live in Picoazá, known for its commerce, its religious festivals, and Its garden crops, vegetables and tropical fruits. Picoazá is a source of progress, and it's the principal informal center of commerce in the province.

Esperanza Monserrate and her husband are dedicated to selling a variety of clothing for women, men, and children. They cover a variety of sectors, but in general, her husband travels to sell, while she sells from the home.

During the social isolation, it was not possible to work for fear of contagion, but at present, the two of them are selling anew, following all the bio-security protocols.
