Aissatou's story

With a diploma in tourism, 32 year old Aissatou lives with her husband and three children who are all in school. She has been in poultry farming for 8 years. Her bravery stems from the fact that she has earned a diploma and she is ready for accepting the challenge of entrepreneurship.

She chose to work in her field because she is someone who really likes animals. Aissatou"s chickens are prized for their good quality and sometimes she can't keep up with demand, especially for large celebrations. To equalize supply and demand, she is requesting a loan of $1,250 to purchase more chicks and the necessary feed.

Aissatou is very concerned about the education of her children which is what motivates her to allocate a large part of her profits to their education. Aissatou dreams of becoming an influential poultry farmer in her community and hire a lot of women.
