Priscah's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farming inputs to improve her production and earn more income to support her family.

Priscah's story

Priscah is a 60-year-old woman living in Eldoret, a town that was significantly stuck by the 2007–2008 Kenyan crisis when violence occurred in Kenya. She is a mixed dairy and crop farmer who has farmed for many years, which has enabled her to support her family. She is a woman who always smiles despite facing a lot of life’s ups and downs.

Currently, Priscah is seeking this loan to buy farming inputs, which she will use to improve her production and earn more income to support her family. Unlike banks and other local money lenders who operate mainly in urban centers, Juhudi Kilimo, a Kiva field partner, has extended its operations to the most remote areas of Kenya, creating opportunities for different people to access loans.

Priscah hopes that Kiva lenders will be kind enough to lend to her during this period when the world is focused on combating COVID-19.
