A loan helped with growing my business with brand awareness, production, and sales during this current pandemic.
I have always had a passion for two things; architecture and footwear. I grew up in Los Angeles, CA, and always spent most of my time in DTLA looking at the Art Deco architecture (which happens to be my favorite architectural aesthetic). I knew that one day I would be able to combine the two and create something that is beautiful and personal. I started traveling to Europe alone, making as many contacts as I can. I attended trade shows, pitched to manufacturers and suppliers. And I finally made contact with the manufacture and started with the production of my first collection. I knew from the beginning that every style would be limited edition because I never wanted to mass-produce. It was my way of keeping the brand sustainable and special. Every pair comes with a unique serial number engraved on the bottom, so every customer knows that they just purchased one pair of very few. Each shoe is made by hand from shoe artisans in Italy. Truly keeping the Italian footwear tradition. There are a few things that motivate me and my passion. First, my children. To prove that you can dream big at any age and be not only happy but successful (even with all the obstacles that come your way). Knowing that even if you're doing something alone is at times nerve-wracking but also exciting. Taking a risk with yourself is and will always be worth it. The other motivation is continuing to be true to me and what I believe in. Taking every day as a lesson and also an adventure.
