Emprendedoras Del Pilar #2 Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy chairs for her food stall, and raw materials for her corn-based foods.

Emprendedoras Del Pilar #2 Group's story

Karen Rebeca, age 26 (in the center of the photo in the white blouse) is the featured borrower in the group Emprendedoras del Pilar, managed by Pro Mujer in Nicaragua. She is married and has a three year-old daughter.

Karen works hard to achieve her goals; now [her goal is] to have a larger business with more profits, to be able to provide employment to other women in her community. She needs a loan to buy chairs for her food stall, where she sells typical Nicaraguan dishes such as "güirilas" [corn pancakes], tamales, cooked beans, and other dishes derived from corn.

She has worked independently for one year. Her greatest challenge during the summer is obtaining the best quality product to make "güirilas". She loves her business, making a fresh and tasty product.

She counts on your support to make progress!
