Fantasy Group's story

Introducing the Fantasy Group, whose name was suggested by one for its members looking for a unique and happy name that would distinguish them. The group is formed by five resolute, brave and hard-working people with great spirits, vision and determination, working daily to progress and to offer a better future to their families. They live in the community of Ixtapaluca, Mexico. These are the members of the group: Araceli M. F. (snacks and perfumes sale), Laura H. G. (sewing workshop), Rosalba F. F. (clothes sale), Verónica M. C. (cosmetics sale by order) and Alejandro Juárez López (costume jewelry sale). Araceli F. represents the group: she is 35 years old, she has two children attending primary and secondary school and has been engaged in trading for 13 years, as she is likes being able to count on her own earnings so that she can help her father and help covering for the expenses of her house. She currently sells snacks such as peanuts, pistachios, wine gums, sweets and so on, and she has just started selling perfumes. Every three days, Araceli goes around her community selling her products door to door, and the week-end is when she makes the most out of her sales. Areceli wishes for her children to finish school and have a career, because she did not have the chance to do it; at the same time she wishes to extend her house and gain more space for her family. The loan she is requesting will be used to buy perfumes and snacks in order to gain more customers. Every member has different plans and expectations, but they all wish to make their dreams come true, and they are thankful to Kiva for the support it offers them through Fundación Realidad.
