Marleny De La Paz's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy corn, lime, paper towel, vegetables, meat, salt, and other supplies to sell food and make tortillas.

Marleny De La Paz's story

Marleny is married and has two children. She lives with her husband and her children, a young woman age 20 and an adult man age 27. Both study and are financially independent from their parents. She has relatives living outside the country, with whom she has very good communication.

Marleny's business is making tortillas and food to sell. She opened her own business five years ago, but she has 25 years' experience. She works Monday to Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. She has many clients who prefer the products that she sells. She learned the business on her own, due to the need to generate income in order to be independent.

She is requesting a loan to increase the inventory of her business. She will use the borrowed funds to buy corn, lime, paper towel, vegetables, meat, salt, and other raw materials to make both the food and the tortillas she sells. Marleny hopes that her number of satisfied clients will increase through this investment. The risk of the investment is that in the future there could be competition in the area.

Her aspirations are to expand her business, to have a larger place to set it up, and to generate more income to provide for her family.
