Shqipe's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for some personal medical clinic expenses so as to recover her health and be able to resume her normal life activity.

Shqipe's story

Shqipe (which means "eagle" in English) is a farmer lady and the mother of two children ages 21 and 12 years old.

Agriculture and livestock have been her only source of income for years. Wholesalers and retailers buy her products from a specified location. Therefore, she does not need any transportation to take her fresh produce to the market.

While her husband works with a tractor and provides services to local villagers, Shqipe plants in quantities. She raises clover and vetch for animals, and also wheat. She has cherry, plum, and pear trees, and a dairy cow. Besides her agricultural activities, she joins in working at a meat factory whenever they ask for her labour.

Recently, Shqipe has not felt well due to a injury that she had some time ago, when working her lands. Doctors have suggested to her that it is time for her to undergo a light medical intervention and to take some treatments afterwards, in order to recover her health.

Shqipe is hoping, for the sixth time, for Kiva lenders' support to pay for these needed medical clinic expenses so that she can resume her normal life activity. Part of this loan is going to be used to close the previous loan.

Shqipe thanks all Kiva lenders for their continuous support. You have enabled her to grow her farm and to improve her family's living conditions.
