A loan helped to buy farm inputs, which she will use to improve her production and make more income to support her family.

Roseline's story

Roseline is a 34-year-old mother of two living in Kapsowar, a town that was struck significantly by the violent 2007–2008 Kenyan crisis. Roseline believes that, with discipline, she is capable of achieving massive success. She feeds her family through mixed dairy and crop farming.

The COVID-19 pandemic has posed a significant threat to the economy of Kenya, causing a lot of uncertainty and disrupting food supply chains. Juhudi Kilimo, in partnership with Kiva, is on the front line, combating this pandemic by supporting smallholder farmers and micro-entrepreneurs during this difficult period.

Roseline is seeking this loan to buy farm inputs, which she will use to improve her production and make more income to support her family during this global health crisis. A loan to Roseline will be a proper way of uplifting her this season.
