A loan helped to purchase more sand and other assorted products to increase her business.

Sento's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! Sento is a 28-year-old client from the Aberdeen branch. She is married and has two children, ages 7 and 10, both of whom are in school. Sento started her business in order to provide for herself and to support her family.

She manages a retail business of selling sand and other assorted items. Sento has been in this business for six years. Her main challenge is dealing with slow sales during the COVID-19 pandemic.

She requested a loan from BRAC Sierra Leone in order to purchase more sand and other assorted items to increase her business. Sento says that the extra income that results from this loan will help to improve her business and allow her to provide for her family’s welfare. In the future, she would like to establish her business on a larger scale. She expresses her thanks to BRAC and Kiva for their support.
