Joyce's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farming inputs, which she plans to use in improving her horticulture crop production, thus making more income to support her family.

Joyce's story

Joyce is a 54-year-old mother of three school-going children who pursues her dreams with much passion and determination. She is a mixed dairy and crop farmer who has been farming for the past many years. Through farming, she has made her life meaningful. Like any other African woman, Joyce wants to give her family a solid reputation.

In Kenya, agriculture is one of the most competitive industries, especially due to the high costs of operations necessary to improve farming. Such costs include the cost of land acquisition and inputs, which have always skyrocketed.

Joyce is seeking this loan to buy farming inputs, which she plans to use in improving her horticulture crop farming business, thus making more income to support her family. Joyce is hopeful that Kiva lenders will be inspired to support her with a loan at this time when the world is in the middle of a pandemic.
