Carolyne's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farm inputs such as seeds and high-nutrient fertilizers to improve production, using the additional profits to improve her life.

Carolyne's story

Carolyne (66-year-old mom) is a hard-working woman who believes that being brought up in poverty changed her life in a very profound way. The difficulties that she went through as a kid make her work hard today to sustain her family. She owns a farm where she grows maize and also rears dairy cows.

Carolyne has not been making good profits because of low-quality farm inputs. Despite the bone-grinding labor that most smallholder farmers in her remote village apply on their farm, the quality of inputs used on the farm also determine the quantity and quality of output realized.

Carolyne is requesting this loan to buy high-quality farming inputs, such as seeds and fertilizers, to improve her corn crop production. She is a visionary woman, and her goal for this season is to boost her crop production and be able to produce a larger harvest than last year. All this can be achieved through the help and goodwill of lenders.

Carolyne believes that through this loan, she will turn around her family's life and give her children a solid education. This loan will play a big part in pulling her out of poverty.
