A loan helped to buy farming inputs, such as certified seeds and fertilizer, to improve her tea farm and her income.

Anneth's story

Special people of Kiva! A new month is here with us.

Anneth is a 41-year old mom of four school-going children. She is pictured on her crop farm. She hopes that this month she will be able to turn her life around with the support of Kiva lenders.

Her main sources of income include tea farming and different crops. She also engages in some personal businesses to supplement her limited income. The greatest challenge that farmers in her village face is access to farming inputs. This has resulted in low-quality yields, which consequently lower the demand.

Anneth learned that Juhudi Kilimo has intervened in the activities of rural, smallholder farmers and is giving them financial support in the form of loans to enable them to access income-generating assets as well as farming inputs. She will use this loan to buy farming inputs, such as certified seeds and nutrient-rich fertilizers, to improve her tea farm and her income.

Please lend to this industrious woman so that she can save for her children's education. Create an opportunity for a female farmer this month.
