Jeanne, 52 years old, lives in a rural village. She is a widow. Three of her four children already live independently. She is an active woman.

Her business is the purchase and resale of local products such as unhealed rice, corn and also potatoes. She stocks the products in order to resell them in a few months when the prices have increased. She is a Vahatra borrower. She has already benefitted from multiple loans each of a greater sum. Her business is profitable. She asks lenders for their help in purchasing two tons of unhulled rice, a ton of corn and a ton of potatoes.

Recently, she was able to arrange the marriage of one of her daughters with the profits. She intends to invest the profits in raising cows.
