A loan helped to buy meat, vegetables and other groceries for making food to sell in her store.

Kong's story

Kong is 45 years old, married and is the mother of two children. She sells soup. Her husband is a construction worker. She has been running this business for three years.

Kong has applied for a 3,000,000 Cambodian riel loan through Kiva's field partner Chamroeun to buy meat, vegetables and other groceries for making food to sell in her store. Using the loan, she will be able to earn more income to continue her business as well as support her family's living standards. She hopes that she can grow her business, renovate her home and send her children to school.

Her main challenges are many competitors and low income due to the impact of Covid-19.
