Los Salmistas Yakalwas Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy fertilizer, herbicide, fungicide, insecticide and pay rent on the land.

Los Salmistas Yakalwas Group's story

Ohexi has been earning his living with agricultural labors (growing corn and beans) for seven years. He started in this business young, growing a small amount, half a manzana (a local land measure). But once he gained enough experience he rented enough land to grow on and bought inputs through his work as day labor.

He is requesting a new loan from Fundenuse with funds from Kiva to pay the rent for his land and buy inputs to grow beans for the first season (May/June) that is coming up. His goals and future plans are to make improvements to the house that he built this year and to buy land to grow on. He wants to start a coffee plantation and in the end improve his living conditions.

He belongs to the “Los Salmistas Yakalwas” communal bank with Gladys, Miriam and Merayling who also earn their livings in this same business.
