A loan helped to buy millet and peanuts to resell.

01_Mboltogne Group's story

This Banc Villageois, which was started in June, 2012, is made-up of these six women who all live in the same village. They share bonds of kinship and solidarity. Their primary activity is business.

Madame Mada is 47 years old and is the representative of the group. She is standing on the right in the photo with her hand raised. She is married and the mother of six children, all of whom are in school.

Mada operates a small food products business (millet, corn, beans, peanuts, and other seasonal products). She stocks up on her products at the weekly markets and resells them in her village. She has more than 10 years of good experience in this business sector.

With this loan she plans to buy sacks of millet, beans, peanuts, and other products which she will resell with a profit margin. She manages to sell her products with no problem due to the fact that she has her choice of customers among the wholesalers.

With her profits she will strengthen her business and help her husband take care of their family's expenses and their children's education.
