A loan helped To expand his business by purchasing additional timber.

Banard's story

Banard is a 36-year-old married man with two children. To earn a living, he sells timber. He has engaged in this business for eight years. He was previously doing construction work to earn a living. From this earlier experience, he got the idea of opening a timber yard, since there was a need for timber in his local community.

Banard, a member of the Prosper group in Faulu Kenya, is requesting a loan in the amount of 40,000 KES ($500) to purchase an additional stock of timber for re-sale purposes. He hopes to open another business in the future to generate additional income. He describes himself as a hard-working man.
