Vibol's story

Vibol, age 30, is married and has two children who're attending school. He lives with his family in the area of Angkor Chey District, Kampot Province. He earns a living from an agriculture business. He is raising and feeding ducks at home and selling them to the local traders three or four months later.

Today, ducks provides more than one billion poor people with most of their daily animal protein. Ducks provides nutrients and micro nutrients that are essential to cognitive and physical development, especially in children, and are an important part of a healthy diet. Because of a shortage in his finances, he has applied a loan in the amount of KHR 8,000,000 to pay for ground filler to cover the mud around his house.

With this loan support, he can pay for the ground filling and provide his family members with a good environment, fresh air, protecting them from illness and creating good living conditions. In the future, he aims to renovate his old house and push his children to continue studying at university. He believes that through his hard work and perseverance he will be able to attain a better standard of living someday.
